Since April 1975 we have provided welfare services to Australian First Nations people in the Charters Towers region, North Queensland.

We have 1 core business, and this is to provide affordable housing options to First Nations people (Aboriginal, Torres Strait and South Sea Islander people). Expenses such as housing repairs, maintenance, goods & service fees are covered from the rental income which is equivalent to 70% of market rent.

Our other core service is the delivery of Specialist Homelessness Service (SHS) service to Adult Men, Women (and children) and families at risk and or experiencing homelessness. This service is funded and operates strictly in accordance with Queensland government guidelines through the funding body The Department of Housing - Housing and Homelessness Services. The service provides furnished accommodation at various locations in Charters Towers. Support and advocacy service is available from mobile support / case workers.
