NAIDOC 2025 Prayer

Next Generation NAIDOC 2025 committee member: Miss Daisha Johnson

This prayer is to be prayed by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It was composed for the meeting between Pope John Paul II and the Aboriginal peoples.

Father of all, you gave us the Dreaming
You have spoken to us through our beliefs
You then made your love clear to us in the person of Jesus
We thank you for your care
You own us
You are our hope
Make us strong as we face the problems of change
We ask you to help people of Australia to listen to us and respect our culture
Make the knowledge of you grown strong in all people
So that you can be at home in us and we can make a home for everyone in our land.
Amen.

On behalf of Jupiter Mosman Housing Company, we acknowledge and thank you and the funding bodies for supporting our community to deliver another wonderful NAIDOC celebration. We thank the National Indigenous Australian Agency (NIAA) & the Department of Seniors, Disability Services and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders Partnerships for funding the Charters Towers NAIDOC 2025 community celebrations.

We are a stand alone company that continues to provide affordable housing options to Australian First Nations People. We have come along way since establishment in 1975 , we continue to be an active community stakeholder representing Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and their families to achieve safe sustainable housing. We are one of the largest rate payers in the Charters Towers Regional Area , the main expenditure is maintaining the property rate s. We welcome assistance............
