How we help Specialist Homelessness Service Specialist Homeless Service We provide immediate supported accommodation (ISA) & Transitional Supported Accommodation (TSA) services in the form of emergency accommodation for Adult Men, Women and Families experiencing and or at Risk of Homelessness in the Charters Towers Regional Area funded by the Department of Communities, Housing and Digital Economy. Our goal is to support you to transition from homelessness to sustainable safe housing. Our aim To provide an immediate response to people experiencing homelessness through the provision of immediate case management support in temporary accommodation and during transition from homeless to housing. Accommodation facilities The accommodation support is subjected to the availability of bed/residential placements. The service offers the following Immediate accommodation from 1 night+ Short-term temporary accommodation - Assessment eligibility applies - duration of need Advocacy and referrals Information and advice Case Management Support Access and Referral Pathways Clients can either self-refer, be referred by other homeless service agencies through QHIP or community support service organisations in the Charters Towers regional area. Clients can access the service 7 days a week, 24 hours a day by calling the access phone numbers after regular business hours. Homeless Hotline Call 1800 474 753 Homeless Hotline is a phone information and referral service for people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. The Homeless Hotline operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Can they help me? Homeless Hotline helps: single people aged over 16 mothers with children fathers with children families couples those experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. How does the service work? When you call, we will provide information about where you can find support, accommodation, meals or showers. In some cases, you may be referred to other services to help you further.
