A small act of kindness and warmth can go a long way

On the 24th of October 2019 we opened the door here at Jupiter Mosman to find a large packet at the front door. We had been so lucky to receive a big donation of the most beautiful, warm and fluffy kind you can imagine. And the story behind is a very special one. 

It all started with a group of young people who participating in a ''working for the doll''-program. As part of the program, they were creating colorful and warm crochet quilts to fill the days. At the end of the program they had made so many and decided to donate them to a special charity organisation who could benefit from the donation and put the quilts to good use. 

We were so lucky to be their chosen charity, and we are honoured and thankful that they chose us. Since this day we have been able to give them to people in need who are moving into housing and have nothing. These quilts provide comfort and warmth to people who have little to nothing to take with them.
